I promise not to be more interesting than you.

I spent time last night looking around Posterous as a blogging platform. Posterous is quickly endearing because it simply makes sense. It is easy to use, it's easy to customize, and it's easy to look at.
Posterous just seems to fit the way blogging has evolved.I call my site: Really Random Stuff because that's the way I blog. I like to post photos. I like to connect other information that I find interesting. I like to write articles - but not as much as I used to when I first started blogging seven years ago. (Think about how long seven years is in web years!)
More important, I like connecting my posts with social networks I use regularly: Twitter and Facebook.
I think that the primary way blogging has changed - or, at least I've changed as a blogger, is that I no longer blog following a theme or subject line. In the past I had a blog for books, another blog for travel, another blog for personal posts. I think that Posterous does a good job at convergence.
A curious thing happened on the way to Orange County this afternoon.
I visited my uncle and aunt in Los Angeles, which I often do on weekends. Afterwards, I drove to downtown Los Angeles with the intention of photowalking. However, the sun was too high and things were pretty much washed out. So I decided to drive home.
However, I didn't quite know how to get out of downtown. I drove up Hill Street and ended up on the Pasadena Freeway, going towards Pasadena. I wasn't overly concerned because I needed to buy gas, and the traffic was moving that direction. It wasn't moving the other way. (Later I heard on news radio that both of the other freeways I might have taken were clogged with traffic because of accidents. Whew - glad that I missed that.)
I decided to go through Pasadena and then take a freeway that would by-pass Los Angeles on the east side. There is a section of the drive without freeway. It goes through Pasadena. I noticed a beautiful building on the east side of my route. I decided to take a look. It was Pasadena City Hall. The building is beautiful, and a great subject for me to photograph.
