There was a lot of action at the Torrey Pines Gliderport yesterday afternoon. The gliderport is in La Jolla, above Black's Beach, near the University of California at San Diego campus.
I met Dr. Ed Ayers on a recent trip to Virginia. Dr. Ayers is president of the University of Richmond. He sent me a copy of his book, What Caused the Civil War?, his reflections on the South and the War.
I took photos of this section of the Berlin Wall on a recent trip to New York City. I posted this photo today, on the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
