Gliderport

There was a lot of action at the Torrey Pines Gliderport yesterday afternoon. The gliderport is in La Jolla, above Black's Beach, near the University of California at San Diego campus.

What Caused the Civil War?

I met Dr. Ed Ayers on a recent trip to Virginia. Dr. Ayers is president of the University of Richmond. He sent me a copy of his book, What Caused the Civil War?, his reflections on the South and the War.

Virginia

I flew into Dulles late last night. I'm up and just about ready to drive down to Lexington to visit Washington and Lee University. I'll be in Charlottesville this evening. The weather is pretty much perfect.
